China’s Trina Solar Ltd. announced four new photovoltaic supply contracts in Europe with an estimated aggregate output of up to 99 megawatts. Trina Solar is an integrated manufacturer of solar power products based in China. The new accounts in Europe are for the next two to three years with initial shipments already made on each of the contracts.
“Our recent contract wins demonstrate our success in targeting large and medium-sized companies, including photovoltaic system integrators, distributors and wholesalers,” Arturo Herrero, Trina Solar’s director of sales & marketing, said in a company statement.
“These contract wins are also an important step for Trina Solar to continue gaining brand recognition in some of the most strategic solar PV markets in Europe and positions Trina Solar well to further expand its presence in these important markets,” Herrero said.
The contracts are with Italian-based Enerpoint to supply solar modules over the next three years worth 6 megawatts, with Italian-based Tecnospot to supply 22 megawatts to 33 megawatts of solar modules over the next three years and with Enereco, also based in Italy, to supply solar modules over the next three years for 20 megawatts. Trina Solar also announced a 40 megawatt contract with Germany-based IBC Solar in Germany over the next two years.
