Extended product range: the new Sunways Solar Inverter NT 8000
With an output power of eight kilowatts and an input voltage ranging from 350 to 850 volts, the Solar Inverter NT 8000 was designed especially for crystalline modules with five-inch cells by manufacturer Sunways. The device may be used flexibly: it may be installed individually in photovoltaic systems with a capacity of eight kilowatts and more as well as – thanks to the three MPP trackers – in combination with solar generators of various dimensions.

Due to the HERIC topology, the device achieves a maximum efficiency rate of 96.8 percent and a European efficiency rate of 96.3 percent, which is very rare in this performance category: due to the device’s three-phase feed-in, the negative-phase sequence current in the grid cannot be exceeded. Thus the maximum yield can also be reached by systems in partially shaded locations and with alignment variances. The Solar-Inverter NT 8000 will be available from August 2008 onwards.

Increased efficiency of the Sunways Solar Inverters NT 2600 and NT 4000
In recent years, the efficiency rates of solar cells and modules rose continuously. Therefore, Sunways AG increased the capacity of its NT 2600 and NT 4000 inverters: instead of an output power of formerly 2.2 kilowatts, the Solar Inverter NT 2600 will have an output power of 2.5 kilowatts; the output power of the Solar Inverter NT 4000 will be increased from 3.3 kilowatts to 3.7 kilowatts. “Thus Sunways inverters, in the future, will be even better adjusted to the increased efficiency rates of solar modules and, with a maximum efficiency rate of 97.5 percent, will continue to reach top yields”, says product manager Christian Buchholz. Both devices will be available as from August 2008.

Successful sales launch for Sunways AG’s first central inverter
Since April 2008, Sunways AG has been offering its first central inverter: the Solar Inverter PT 30k is a transformerless device with HERIC topology, a 30-kilowatt output power and three-phase feed-in. PT stands for Performance Technology and indicates the high efficiency rates of more than 97.5 percent in combination with a very broad input voltage range: with 420 to 1,000 volts, the inverter makes the best possible use of the potential system voltage of solar modules and thus ensures cost optimization for the installation of large systems.

The HERIC topology, which has been applied by Sunways for years, was successfully adapted to the three-phase feed-in; with this technology, the PT 30k ensures the highests yields in each performance category and holds a top ranking with respect to the maximum and European efficiency rates. According to Sunways, the new device is among the most compact and light-weight inverters of its performance category.

Free-of-charge seminars and workshops for secure photovoltaics knowledge and practice-oriented inverter information
Free-of-charge training courses enable participants to familiarize themselves with known and new Sunways products: at the workshops, which are offered free of charge by the manufacturer, installers, distribution agents and planners of photovoltaic systems are provided with details relating to the technology and installation of Sunways products.

According to Sunways, the focus of such events offered with respect to the subjects listed below is on practice orientation: basic principles of photovoltaic systems, application, function and installation of the Solar Inverters NT, AT and PT as well as system control. The training courses are held at the seminar locations of Sunways AG in Constance. The installation and commissioning are tested here in real-life conditions; a team composed of members from the product management, development and distribution divisions presents the subjects and is available to answer questions.

The events are organized as complementary modules: each workshop can be booked individually but the participant can also attend all events in one week. Interested parties will find the time schedule for the upcoming workshops at the company’s home page www.sunways.de under Sunways Assistance.
