REC Solar expanding its operations in Colorado

REC Solar Inc. said Thursday it’s expanding operations in Colorado. The private company, based in San Luis Obispo, Calif., currently has more than a dozen full-time employees in Colorado, mostly working on installing residential solar energy systems. The company said Thursday it’s adding a commercial division at 9032 Marshall Court in Westminster. The company said it’s hiring and expects to more than double its number of Colorado employees in 2008.
“REC Solar is excited about expanding our presence in Colorado and working with businesses that see the triple bottom line benefits of solar,” REC Solar CEO Angiolo Laviziano said in a news release. “For the past three years, the solar industry in the United States has grown an average of 40 percent each year. However, REC Solar expects to see a 275 percent increase in its business in Colorado.”
REC Solar has offices in six states Colorado, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Oregon and New Jersey.
