Changzhou, China – February 8th, 2007 — Trina Solar Limited (NYSE: TSL) (“Trina Solar” or the “Company”), a leading integrated manufacturer of solar photovoltaic products based in Changzhou, China, announced today that it has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with Q-Cells AG (“Q-Cells”), the largest independent solar cell manufacturer in the world.

Under this strategic cooperation agreement, Trina Solar will supply Q-Cells with at least 18MW of high-quality monocrystalline wafers which will be processed into high efficiency cells for Trina Solar’s module assembly facility.  The size of this contract is sufficient for Trina Solar to meet its current 2007 cell requirements while it ramps up its solar cell manufacturing lines.  Furthermore, Q-Cells will benefit from this strategic agreement by filling additional capacity in its rapidly expanding cell lines in Thalheim, Germany.  In addition to the commercial agreement, Q-Cells will provide technical assistance to Trina Solar during the ramp up of the Trina Solar cell lines.

DCC has agreed to supply polysilicon to Trina Solar over a seven-year period with a total contract value estimated at over US$120M and with shipments expected to begin in 2009.

Changzhou, China – January 31, 2007 — Trina Solar Limited (NYSE: TSL) (“Trina Solar” or “the Company”), a leading integrated manufacturer of solar photovoltaic products based in Changzhou, China, announced today that it has entered into a long-term supply agreement with Wacker Polysilicon, the polysilicon division of Wacker Chemie AG (“WACKER”). Under this supply agreement, the polysilicon division of Wacker Chemie AG has agreed to supply Trina Solar with high purity polysilicon over a 6 year period beginning in 2009. The overall supply from this contract will allow Trina Solar to produce over 150MW of modules during this period. The financial details and the volumes of the agreement have not been disclosed.

A group of Southwestern utilities is exploring the possibility of developing a 250-megawatt solar power plant in Arizona or southern Nevada, which would be one of the largest in the region. The feasibility of such a plant, which could produce enough electricity to serve 160,000 to 200,000 homes, is being studied by a consortium of seven utilities, including Arizona Public Service, Salt River Project and Tucson Electric Power.

The Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) and the Carle Place School District last week dedicated the first photovoltaic (PV) solar power systems to be installed by a Long Island school district under LIPA’s Solar Pioneer Program. The five PV systems installed by Johnson Controls/Rockmore Contracting total 49.54 kilowatts (kW) and will produce a total of approximately 57,500 kilowatt hours (kWh) of electricity annually, saving the Carle Place School District and its taxpayers about $10,177 in electricity costs per year.

Solargenix Inc. can now hire workers from El Salvador and Mexico, as well as out-of-state workers at less than the union pay scale. The company will also get to keep its $15 million tax-incentive package from the Nevada Commission on Economic Development.  The AFL-CIO filed suit last month, claiming that Nevada Solar One, the company’s solar power project in the Eldorado Valley, had breached the agreement that had guaranteed it the tax breaks. Solargenix, formerly Duke Solar Energy, is now owned and operated by Spain’s Acciona SA.

De La Salle University in Manila has succeeded in making a solar car prototype. Aptly named Sinag, it is believed to be the first solar car built in the Philippines. Sinag, built at a cost of P9 million, was designed to promote the use of alternative sources of energy. Its makers are joining the World Solar Challenge 2007 in Australia on Oct 21 – 28, 2007. Students and faculty members of DLSU proudly unveiled the prototype at the Fort in Taguig City recently.

Made from carbon fiber and Nomex, the lightweight speedster will compete in the World Solar Challenge and help promote the use of alternative sources of energy. The car will utilize solar cells from SunPower, which has a plant in the Philippines and reportedly manufacturers the most efficient cells in the world.

Shares of Q-Cells AG jumped the most since June after the German solar-cell maker said profit more than doubled last year and growth will accelerate in 2008. The shares, today’s biggest gainer in the Stoxx 600, rose as much as 5.30 euros, or 13 percent, to 47 euros and traded at 46.14 euros at 11:42 a.m. local time. That’s the largest one-day gain since June 15. The stock has added 35 percent so far this year, valuing the company at 3.4 billion euros ($4.4 billion).

Aleo Solar AG is launching production at its factory in Santa María de Palautordera, near Barcelona. The facility, with a total capacity of 10 MW, will handle production for the Spanish market.
