As in previous years, the international trade fair Intersolar 2007 reflects the dynamically growing solar technology industry in Europe. After the tremendous growth of the last few years, this year has once again seen the leading trade fair achieve record growth. Compared with last year, the number of exhibitors is up from 454 to 560, while the exhibition space has been increased from 26,000 square metres to 31,000 square metres. At the same time, Intersolar is further consolidating its position as the leading European platform for solar technology. In 2006, the proportion of international exhibitors was 30%. This year, 37 % of exhibitors will be travelling to Freiburg from over 30 countries.

Rhone Resch stood at the microphone in a conference room in Cambridge, Mass., and asked for a show of hands. “How many people here,“ he demanded, “have a solar system on the roof of their house or their business?” Not more than a dozen people responded. “Now, how many people want to have a solar system on the roof of your house or your business?” This time every hand went up, accompanied by some sheepish chuckling.  “People want to have solar,” explained Resch, the president of the Solar Energy Industries Association, based in Washington, D.C. “There’s an incredible untapped demand here.”

The Next DSC Industrialisation Conference (DSC-IC 2007)

Following the successful first Industrialisation of DSC conference last year in Canberra, Australia, Dyesol is pleased to announce that the 2nd DSC Conference will be held in St Gallen, Switzerland, 11- 13 September 2007.  Dyesol is a Platinum Sponsor for the NanoEurope Fair and Conference and will host the 2nd DSC Conference in conjunction with NanoEurope.

Intersolar is Europe’s largest international trade fair for solar Technology. Its focus lies on photovoltaics, solar thermal technology and solar architecture. Intersolar is the only European solar technology fair which has been recognized as an international trade fair by both the German Trade Fair Industry Association (AUMA) and the World Organization for Trade Fairs and Exhibitions (UFI).
