Advanced Solar Photonics (ASP) is the cutting-edge developer of laser equipment for solar panel processing, thin-film solar cells, and commercial solar products for the solar industry. Our various technologies can increase production and efficiency, minimize waste, and in some cases, increase the overall efficiency of the PV cells. ASP is located in a 318,000 square foot headquarters in Lake Mary, Florida, employing an international team of technology driven professionals.

Advanced Solar Photonics (ASP) the cutting-edge developer of laser equipment for solar panel processing, thin film solar cells, and commercial solar products is seeking $40 million in financing from investors for its previously announced 45MW thin film demo factory, SolarFab. This project, when complete, will be the first of its kind in the state of Florida.

ASP is a branch of Fonon Technology International which has secured a 318,000 square foot facility, of which 100,000 square feet will be dedicated to SolarFab. Having already received a number of letters of intent for solar panels, under the proposed agreements, SolarFab would be at maximum production of its SunPanels upon initial start. In addition, ASPs’ patented technologies, and other key elements, such as material suppliers, are already in place.

Financing for this new factory is anticipated from both private and public companies that have an interest in providing assistance for the development of profitable alternative energy projects. “We expect to meet with potential financing partners and review proposals over the next few months, said Edgardo Rodriguez, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Advanced Solar Photonics. “Once this financing is in place, we’ll be able to initiate project completion by the end of the fourth quarter of 2009.
