Solar Integrated Technologies, Inc. (AIM:SIT.LN), a leading provider of building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) roofing systems, announced today that it has won a U.S.$3.3 million order from Dachland GmbH, a privately-owned German company that specializes in installing single-ply, green, and photovoltaic roofing systems, for the sale of a BIPV roofing system to be installed on a building owned by TDDK TD Deutsche Klimakompressor Gmbh, a division of Toyota Germany AG, in Strassgräbchen, Sachsen, Germany. The project is expected to be completed in 2007.

Solar Integrated Technologies, Inc. (AIM:SIT.LN), a leading provider of building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) roofing systems,  announced today the completion of its first BIPV project under Belgium’s new feed-in tariff program. The BIPV roofing system was sold by Solar Integrated and installed at a facility owned by Zelfbouw-Markt, a home improvement retailer in Belgium. The project was managed by Ikaros Solar, a turn-key PV engineering company based in Lier, Belgium.

Solar Integrated Technologies, Inc. (AIM:SIT.LN), a leading provider of building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) roofing systems,  announced today that it has won through its French partner Urbasolar a first order for a BIPV roofing system to be installed at a Carrefour Group distribution facility under construction in Nimes, France. The project is being managed by Urbasolar, a turn-key PV engineering company based in Montpellier, France. The project is expected to be completed in 2007.

Solar Integrated Technologies, Inc. (AIM:SIT.LN), a leading provider of building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) roofing systems,  announced today that it has won three new orders from Master Renovables, a Spanish engineering firm and solar integrator, aggregating $1.7 million. Two of these orders are for BIPV roofing systems to be installed at two shopping centers owned by Unibail-Rodamco, the largest owner-manager of retail properties in Europe. These projects will be installed at Unibail-Rodamco’s Barnasud Shopping Center in Barcelona and Vallsur Shopping Center in Valladolid. All three projects are expected to be completed in 2007.

Wales is to make it easier to instal solar panel and wind turbines in Welsh homes. The Assembly Government aims to reduce the need for planning permission for such equipment, helping people and local communities to tackle climate change.

Minister for Environment, Sustainability and Housing, Jane Davidson, said today: “Achieving sustainable energy production and consumption is key to tackling climate change, which is my number one priority. “I am putting forward these proposals to lift any potential barriers to allow for greater micro-generation in Wales.”

The U.S. Energy Department has picked a Santa Clara University-Pacific Gas & Electric team for an international competition to build a solar-powered home. SCU was chosen by the Energy Department to participate in the 2007 Solar Decathlon, a competition where colleges and universities from around the world design, build and operate energy-efficient solar-powered homes. ACCIONA Energy has announced it has closed a $266 million long-term project financing for  Nevada Solar One, its 64-megawatt Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) plant, the largest solar power plant built in the world in 16 years. The deal represents the first leveraged lease structured financing for a CSP plant in the United States. The leveraged lease structure was financed by debt participants Banco Santander and BBVA, headquartered in Spain, and Caixa Geral de Depósitos, headquartered in Portugal, and equity investors JPMorgan Capital Corporation, Northern Trust and Wells Fargo.
